Welcome back to school and welcome to Room 19!
I'm Carla Melton, the classroom teacher this year, and this is a space for children, parents and family to view our learning and share the day to day happenings at school.
The first few weeks at school are about getting to know each other. We'll be doing lots of games, learning activities, assessment and also reinforcement of classroom routines and expectations. Our Inquiry will focus on 'My Place In The World', beginning with learning about ourselves, and then looking at places that are special to us, and how we belong within communities.
We will have this class blog. I will update news and happenings here to help you keep track of what's going on here in Room 19.

Our Library day is Thursday. Please check that your child has their green library bags that day so that they can take out a new book.
Our swimming days are Mondays and Wednesdays. Children need togs and a towel in a swimming bag. Children will require a note if they are unable to participate in swimming that day.
